The seller was the original buyer of every comic from the newsstand in the mid 40s until his senior year in high school. The collection consists of around 1350 comics from the mid 40s to the mid 50s, almost all pre-code. We are thrilled to announce that we have just purchased an original owner Golden/Atomic Age collection this week. Although some higher grade and more expensive comics will be sent off to CGC for grading, most copies are going up raw over the next month as we clean up and process this large haul of comics. We returned with nearly 1000 comics and many keys ( Spidey #1, Fantastic Four #1, JIM #83, Strange Tales #110, B&B #28) and hot issues ( Golden Age Joker covers, 100 pre-code horror, Timely teen humor, and much more). Great Comic Finds Recently Purchased by WWC Īfter spending almost 3 weeks on the road driving up the east coast running ahead of a hurricane named Irma, we are pleased to announce a huge selection of Golden to Silver Age comics we've acquired at several locations. So if you do not see any more updates for a while, just realize it is because we are busy getting new comics to the market. We continue to travel the country every month (even during these trying times) to acquire new and exciting comics and we list comics every day (check out the "New Arrivals" section). So far in 2020 we have managed to find a good grouping of collections and purchases to enrich our site with everything from Golden Age to Modern comics, from low grade to the highest graded copies. Thanks also to our regular customers, we realize many people are tight for funds. Due to downtime with many collectors, we are seeing a large number of new visitors on our site, we welcome them and hope to provide you'll with a great comic experience. With all this time, we are keeping busy pulling from the 200,000+ back stock we have and finding a ton of gems along with issues we just did not have on our site until now. All summer conventions are on hold and we are not sure if we will see any cons in 2020. We are experiencing FedEx and USPS shipping delays so be aware if our shipments are late. MYCOMICS NET UPDATEWe spend a ton of time finding and working on comics that I can never find time to update our own front page with new information, so if this message becomes dated in a few months, realize that our comics are current inventory and we list new comics every day and about 250 a week.Ĭoronavirus Impact. That is my fault for never updating our site with current activities and notices. The first 200 have returned from CGC in late November and you can see those in the New Arrivals section being uploaded daily.Īlthough it has become near impossible to find Golden Age collections in today's market, we are constantly acquiring great Golden Age and 1950's comics to stock on our web-site every month, so for those collectors, keep an eye on the new arrivals as we are uploading over 100 new issues each week.Ī lot of people have been emailing us asking if our site is current because of the old notices and dates on our front page. To date, over 1000 have gone to CGC for grading and we have put up over 4,000 non-CGC on the site at this point. For the past three months we have been processing these books as fast as we can but are not even half way through the collections. It is the end of 2013 and we are happy to report that we have purchased four collections of late Silver Age to late Bronze Age Marvel and DC comics in high grade this fall. This will mark the first major change to our site since we launched it in 2008. We are feverishly fine tuning it now and are very anxious to get it completed. In early January we will launch a new look for our web-site with improved search functions, a want list capability for clients and a new color scheme with design on the site.
