We can’t afford to lose no horses! Send down a couple of _” Plug in the noun of your choice, if there is a disparity between value or wealth of the second noun the message is obvious. Every line delivered the messages of power. They were then ridiculed by their boss who abused them and ridiculed them in a different manner. The words didn’t matter, it was the power in the situation that was the issue. Then started to sing what they thought were slave songs and started moving around like ridiculous, mindless automatons, not realizing anything that they were saying. The cowboys were so mad that they decided to show the railroad workers how a good ol’ _ work song should go. “Why aren’t the former slaves singing?” So, the railroad workers were pissed and were not all former slaves but their reaction was amazing, they sang a really beautiful rendition of a song about drinking and doing drugs. Then the opening line of dialogue is perhaps the most racist thing that has ever been said in any media, and perhaps any comedy. ![]() Bart was a weird name for a cowboy and seemed rhythmically out of place. It starts with the amazing opening song which is a perfect set up for the movie, “And Bart, was his name, and Bart was his name!” I remember being startled at that line in the song, it made me realize that maybe, I didn’t know what I was watching. “Blazing Saddles” taught me everything I needed to know about systemic racism because it presented racism, sexism, bigotry, and greed in the way they are used politically and socially. #Blazing saddles sbart mongo gun movieEvery trip to my Grandmother’s house I would watch this amazing movie and I watch it to this day. I remember watching ‘Blazing Saddles’ at every point in my life. ![]()
